It can be as easy as you make it to be. Send me an ask if you ever wanna talk. I can’t believe how many reblogs this has.

My mother used to read this to me and I recently picked it up again to read it. It’s actually quite a lengthy tale. And I can’t say that I fully understand it, just yet..

One of the most VILE and DISGUSTING “fashion” trends this season are foxtails / fur tails. Yes, there are fake fur tails, but the majority of fur tails are made of real fur.
That’s right, animals lost their lives for a keychain that you can hang off your purse or clip to your belt. One of the biggest retailers for foxtails is Dolls Kill, who’s name seems oddly appropriate given the amount of animals that died for their product.
Please voice your concerns to Dolls Kill. You can reach them on Facebook, Twitter, or contact them directly. Let them know you will NOT be shopping with them until they STOP selling these horrible carcass accessories.
For FOX SAKE let’s ban Foxtails from fashion.
this is gross. i have a fox tail but mine is made of faux fur. i love this trend but i’m so against killing animals for fur. i mean to eat meat is one thing, that is sustenance but to kill an animal for it’s fur is cruelty
Killing for fur is the same as killing for meat. Neither are justifiable.
The most disgusting fashion trend in recent years.

Ahh, this kind of tugs at my heart strings. I haven’t experienced death up-close-and-personal, but I can understand how hard it is to lose someone.
This could even be interpreted in other ways.. that’s just how I see it.

OMFG U GUYS IT WAS A FUCKING ACCIDENT EVERYONE MAKES MISTAKES AND I BET U THAT EVERYONE HAS DONE THIS!!!! everyone hates me now WTF! :(((( STOP REBLOGGING!
I’ve never done anything like this, and I’m sure a large percentage of my followers have never done this either. To say “everyone has done this” is completely ridiculous
NOT everyone has done this! I think we all know that’s just a flimsy excuse. An even better and more accurate excuse would be their sheer ignorance. Obviously they are young and do not know any better- or was never taught any better. Some of us in the world are unfortunate in that not everyone is taught how to behave kindly and why that is important or raised with the right values or even ANY values at all.

I need you to understand something. I need you to read this, to hear me, for the sake of all the souls who are affected by the words that follow, for all of those who are afraid to tell their story or speak their minds for fear of being judged or ignored.
Its important that we understand, dear world, because the labels and assumptions we try and throw on each other limit us, they leave us trapped and dishonest, they make us blind to both the suffering and successes of others. We need to see past them, because there is so much more to a person than the surface of how they look or appear.
Please hear me when I say that:
- it is possible for someone to have an eating disorder, even if they appear “overweight”
- people of any weight, age, race sometimes struggle with self esteem, everyone needs to be reminded they’re beautiful once in awhile
- even the richest, most loving, well educated families can and do have fathers & mothers & relatives who abuse children
- you can grieve someone who is still alive, because there are more ways of being “dead” than when a heart no longer beating
- it is possible for someone to be straight and fall in love with someone of the same gender
- it is still rape even if its with the boyfriend that you’ve had sex with in the past and you’ve been drinking and you were wearing a skimpy outfit. not saying no isn’t the same as saying yes.
- depression doesn’t belong solely to those with easily visible problems and scars, there is no such thing as having too “perfect” of a life to know hurt
- it is possible for a person to do something awful and not be an awful person
And there are oh so many more that I’ve forgotten, paradoxes of tragedy, misunderstandings of what makes a person who and what they are and leaves them feeling unable to speak, unable to tell the truth for fear of no one believing them.
This is what I’ve learned, that labels mean nothing, that everyone has a story, that the only thing that is equal to the immense amounts of good and kindness and talent in each human being is the weight of the secrets they carry, the stories and past and struggles that they know and remember.
I try, in every moment and aspect of my life, to see past the label or the outside and into the soul and being of a person. I know how cheesy and idealistic I sound, I know I’m only 19 and I’ve barely seen any of this world and that I think like an artist and I write things heavy with clichés and I don’t fit into the world the way that most do.
I know that maybe 5 people will read this, most likely four of them will be ones that I have sent here myself. I know that many who know me in real life will roll their eyes and tell me to stop“trying to save the world” and to “stop being so dramatic.” I know the judgements that will and can come from the things I write here, from the way I talk and think.
But I’m choosing to ignore them in the hopes that someone out there, maybe one of the 3,500 people who follow me or any of the millions who follow them might see this and know that they are heard, that they are understood, that someone cares and will listen regardless of the stereotypes they do or don’t fit into.
Because, dear world, I believe in listening. And the strength that comes from knowing someone understands you. So hear it is: way too many words early on a monday morning:
Dear World,
I hear you, I see you, I’m listening.
All my love,
Caroline
Caroline is a beautiful name. It pops up in my life semi-frequently.. I love synchronicities<3
