Deep in the Costa Rican jungle, a fisherman named Chito discovered a crocodile that had been shot in the eye by a cattle farmer and left for dead. Chito was able to drag the massive reptile into his boat and brought him to his home, where he stayed by his side for months, nursing him back to health.
He named the croc Pocho. “I stayed by Pocho’s side while he was ill, sleeping next to him at night. I just wanted him to feel that somebody loved him, that not all humans are bad.” said Chito, ““It meant a lot of sacrifice. I had to be there every day. I love all animals – especially ones that have suffered.”
The day finally came when Pocho was strong enough to go back into the wild. Chito took him to a lake near his house and released him, but the animal simply got back out of the water and followed him home.
“Then I found out that when I called his name he would come over to me.” says Chito. The fisherman has been hesitant to tell his story, even though 20 years have passed since he first rescued Pocho.
Pocho is roughly 5.18 meters (17 feet) long. He and Chito play, wrestle and hug on a daily basis. That bond, Chito said, took years to forge.
“After a decade I started to work with him.”, says Chito casually, “At first it was slow, slow. I played with him a bit, slowly doing more.”
Chito has told his story now only to raise awareness of the cruelty that can be done to animals, and the difference that affection and treating other rightly can make.
“He’s my friend, I don’t want to treat him like a slave or exploit him.” said Chito, “I am happy because I rescued him and he is happy with me because he has everything he needs.”

Breaks my heart to think about the animals that were unable to be saved, yet fills my heart with so much love and happiness to know that there are people who go out of their way to help animals if they are able to.. ♥♥♥

I’m receiving messages from parents on Twitter almost daily regarding Autism. Mostly thanking me for speaking about it. A few had approached to ask about their own kids and how they feared they might be on the spectrum too, and have been diagnosed. We should never underestimate how much we can be done on our kiddies. God knows we’d love them to have as normal life as possible when they’re older.
Not only that but parents need motivating too sometimes…this is a hard road. If you can help one person feel less alone in their struggle, then being open serves everyone.

This is a banana.
Reblog if you care.
If you don’t reblog you’re heartless.
One girl didn’t reblog and now she’s a banana.
you may as well unfollow me if your heartless enough not to reblog
DO NOT SCROLL PAST YOU HEARTLESS BITCH
WHAT WOULD JESUS SAY IF HE SAW YOU SCROLL PAST THIS POOR BANANA? YOU BASTARD.
LMAO YES. I tend to reblog stuff like that.. but if you don’t, it doesn’t mean you care. Reblogging those things will most likely not accomplish anything important. If you REALLY want to help, you’d get off your asses and volunteer during the hours you’re normally on Tumblr. Pff, why not?

Written by a cop- please read, it might save your life.
10 Interesting tips……….
Everyone should take 5 minutes to read this. It may save your life or a loved one’s life.
Crime during daylight hours DOES OCCUR, so refresh yourself of these things to do in an emergency situation…
This is for you, and for you to share with your wife, your children, everyone you know. After reading these 9 crucial tips, forward them to someone you care about. It never hurts to be careful in this crazy world we live in.
1. Tip from Tae Kwon Do :
The elbow is the strongest point on your body.
If you are close enough to use it, do!
2. Learned this from a tourist guide.
If a robber asks for your wallet and/or purse, DO NOT HAND IT TO HIM.
Toss it away from you…. Chances are that he is more interested in your wallet and/or purse than you, and he will go for the wallet/purse.
RUN LIKE MAD IN THE OTHER DIRECTION!
3. If you are ever thrown into the trunk of a car,
kick out the back tail lights and stick your arm out the hole and start waving like crazy..
The driver won’t see you, but everybody else will. This has saved lives.
4. Women have a tendency to get into their cars after shopping, eating, working, etc., and just sit (doing their checkbook, fiddling with purchases, etc.. DON’T DO THIS!)
The predator will be watching you, and this is the perfect opportunity for him to get in on the passenger side, put a gun to your head, and tell you where to go.
AS SOON AS YOU GET INTO YOUR CAR , LOCK THE DOORS AND LEAVE..
If someone is in the car with a gun to your head
DO NOT DRIVE OFF,
Repeat:
DO NOT DRIVE OFF!
Instead: gun the engine and speed into anything, wrecking the car. Your Air Bag will save you.
If the person is in the back seat they will get the worst of it. (Even if not, they’re probably not wearing a seat belt anyways)
As soon as the car crashes bail out and run. You might get scratches and maybe even shot at, but it is better than having them find your body in a remote location.
5. A few notes about getting into your car in a parking lot, or parking garage:
A.) Be aware:
look around you, look into your car, at the passenger side floor , and in the back seat.
B.) If you are parked next to a big van, enter your car from the passenger door.
Most serial killers attack their victims by pulling them into their vans while the women are attempting to get into their cars.
C.) Look at the car parked on both sides of your vehicle,…
If a male is sitting alone in the seat nearest your car, you may want to walk back into the mall, or work, and get a guard/policeman to walk you back out.
IT IS ALWAYS BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY.
(And better paranoid than dead.)
6. ALWAYS take the elevator instead of the stairs.
Stairwells are horrible places to be alone and the perfect crime spot.
(This is especially true at NIGHT!)
7. If the predator has a gun and you are not under his control,
ALWAYS RUN!
The predator will only hit you (a running target) 4 in 100 times; and even then, it most likely WILL NOT be a vital organ.
RUN, Preferably in a randomized zig-zag pattern!
8. As women, we are always trying to be sympathetic:
STOP
It may get you raped, or killed.
Ted Bundy, the serial killer, was a good-looking, well educated man, who ALWAYS played on the sympathies of unsuspecting women. (HEY GUYS, YOU NEED TO WATCH OUT FOR THIS TOO! It’s not just us ladies who hold compassion)
He walked with a cane, or a limp, and often asked ‘for help’ into his vehicle or with his vehicle, which is when he abducted his next victim.
9. Another Safety Point:
Someone just told me that her friend heard a crying baby on her porch the night before last, and she called the police because it was late and she thought it was weird.
The police told her ‘Whatever you do, DO NOT open the door!!’
The lady then said that it sounded like the baby had crawled near a window, and she was worried that it would crawl to the street and get run over.
The policeman said, ‘We already have a unit on the way, DO NOT open the door!!’ He told her that they think a serial killer has a baby’s cry recorded and uses it to coax women out of their homes thinking that someone dropped off a baby. He said they have not verified it, but have had several calls by women saying that they hear baby’s cries outside their doors when they’re home alone at night.
10. Water scam!
If you wake up in the middle of the night to hear all your taps outside running or what you think is a burst pipe,
DO NOT GO OUT TO INVESTIGATE!
These people turn on all your outside taps full blast so that you will go out to investigate and then they attack.
Stay alert, keep safe, and look out for your neighbors!
Please pass this on
This email/reblog should be taken seriously. The Crying Baby Theory was mentioned on America’s Most Wanted when they profiled the serial killer in Louisiana.
I’d like you to forward this to all the women (and even men!) that you know.
It may save a life.
A candle is not dimmed by lighting another candle. I was going to send this to the ladies only, but guys, if you love your mothers, wives, sisters, daughters, etc., you may want to pass it onto them, as well.
Everyone should take 5 minutes to read this. It may save your life or a loved one’s life
